There are three sections of Ceramics I and one section of Ceramics II & Advanced. All courses meet for 42 minutes per day for the whole year.

Ceramics I is open to all 9th – 12th grade students and explores functional and sculptural forms, and various handbuilding and glazing techniques.

Ceramics II is open to 10th – 12th grade students who have taken Ceramics I and want to continue with the work. The course explores advanced handbuilding and glazing techniques, and delves into a deeper understanding of the clay, firing process and the history of ceramics.

Adavanced Ceramics is open to students in 11th – 12th grades who have completed Ceramics I & II and want to work independently to create their own body of work. Students are expected to document and present their work on-line and at various school events to better learn how to present their work to the public.
